Ecuadorians will go to the polls on February 5, this time it will be to elect mayors, prefects, councilors, parish councils, advisors for Citizen Participation and Social Control, as well as the referendum and popular consultation.
In order to vote, citizens must go to the respective voting board with a document that enables it, that is, their identity card or passport.
The expiration date of the document to be able to vote does not matter, which is why issuing entities such as the Civil Registry of Ecuador and the Civil Registry of Guayaquil announced extended service days.
The Civil Registry of Ecuador indicated that these are its hours until the day of the vote:
- From January 23 to 27: from 08:00 to 19:00.
- On Saturday, January 28: from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Sunday, January 29: from 08:00 to 15:00.
- From January 30 to February 3: from 08:00 to 19:00.
- On Saturday, February 4: from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday February 5: from 07:00 to 14:00.
They extend hours for the issuance of identity cards for the February 5 elections
While the Civil Registry of Guayaquil also announced its extended hours in several of its agencies:
- From January 23 to 27: from 08:00 to 18:00 (Martha de Roldós, Crillón building, Metrovía 25 de Julio, Guayaquil Airport, Bus Terminal, Posorja and World Trade Center).
- Saturday, January 28: from 08:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. (Martha de Roldós and Posorja) and from 09:30 a.m. to 02:30 p.m. (Bus Terminal).
- From Monday, January 30 to Saturday, February 4: from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Martha de Roldós, Crillón building, Metrovía 25 de Julio, Guayaquil Airport, Bus Terminal, Posorja and World Trade Center).
