Manta, MANABI

There were more than 320 brick-type packages that were found inside eight jute sacks inside a house in the San Vicente canton. The National Police considered that this functioned as a collection center for alkaloids destined for European countries.

The operation was called “Carpathians”, in relation to the mountainous system of Eastern Europe, close to countries such as Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and others.

The weight of the drug exceeded 300 kilos, according to police officers. This operation had an investigation that began more than six months ago.
