The deputies are considering the issue of introducing confiscation of property of citizens who left Russia and who “insult the country”. According to TASS, this was stated at a meeting of the State Duma by the speaker of the lower house of parliament Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to him, there are “scoundrels” who left Russia, but still “live at the expense of the country”, receiving deductions and fees. It is necessary to respond to those who “spill mud” on the state, including by adopting changes to the legislation, the politician believes
“When they say, an unnecessary measure associated with the confiscation [имущества], we are talking about the villains who broke the law, those who caused harm. And they must be held accountable for this. As a rule, other penalties do not reach them, ”Volodin emphasized.
At the same time, the speaker noted that this issue “needs to be resolved individually, with an understanding of who did what.” He also added that the State Duma “has already begun work in this direction.”
Recall that earlier the Fund for the Protection of National Historical Heritage sent an appeal to State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin with an initiative to confiscate property for state revenue from citizens included in the register of foreign agents.
