The National Comprehensive Care Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI) reported that two suspended bodies were found, without vital signs, in the Esmeraldas Deprivation of Liberty Center.
The servers of the Security and Surveillance Corps of the Penitentiary were the ones who found the bodies during a tour of the pavilions of the prison on Monday 23.

The autopsy will determine the cause of death. Indications were collected at the site by police officers.
This is the first event that has been recorded this year in this prison. In October 2022, inmates Daniel H. and Antony A. presumably died of beatings and suffocation after an incident in cell block C of this prison. (YO)
