The Prosecutor’s Office carried out new raids for the disappearance of Natalia Ojeda and Sabina, her daughter.
Police agents arrived in Salcedo, in Cotopaxi, to raid the home of the father, Manolo A., Natalia’s ex-partner and father of the minor.
The result of the luminol examination was negative in that house, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Natalia and Sabina were reported missing on Monday, January 2. Police shared photographs of both to report the disappearance.
They were last seen in the Selva Alegre and Las Casas sector, located in Quito.
Sabina is about one year old.
Manolo A. is also missing and suspicions have been raised about him because he apparently mistreated Natalia.
A brother of Natalia has indicated that the last contact he had with her was on December 31, and that they knew that he was supposedly out for a walk with his ex-partner, Manolo A., Sabina’s father.
“It is quite strange the way my sister disappears… He is also missing,” he told the channel. RTU.
The brother blames Manolo A. for the disappearance of Natalia and little Sabina.
She had separated from her partner, but supposedly at the end of the year she would have had an approach with Manolo A., for which they would have traveled to Salcedo.
Already last Thursday, the Prosecutor’s Office raided the office of Manolo A. in Quito. There, evidence was collected, such as documents, and a luminol test was applied with a negative result.
The family and those close to Natalia have held sit-ins so that the whereabouts of the mother and the minor can be found.
Groups defending the rights of women have joined the requests that the search be intensified, since several days have passed without knowing the trace of them.
Natalia is a judicial official and had to return to work on January 8. (YO)
