A couple was murdered inside a house in the Rosita Paredes sector of the Balzar canton, Guayas province.
This afternoon, unknown subjects broke into the property to attack their victims, according to police data.
The man and woman were resting in hammocks when the hitman-style attack took place.
Horacio Pérez, head of the Balzar District, said that at the site it was found that each of the victims had at least three bullet wounds in various parts of their body.
In the building, the man died while the female was taken to a nursing home, where her death was confirmed. The victims had no criminal records.
As part of the first investigative actions, police units raised ballistic evidence and other vestiges at the scene.
Likewise, the units hoped to review security cameras in the vicinity of the site in order to have more information on the possible causes of this double crime.
In the neighborhood and other sectors of the canton, an operation was deployed to find those responsible. (YO)
