Experts meet to raise the technical parameters to define the Quito Metro’s operating model

The experts will work together with the PMMQ staff to define the characteristics of the Integrated Public Transportation System.

From this Monday, November 8, meetings of experts will be installed in Quito who will be in charge of raising the technical parameters that will allow the operation model to respond to the characteristics of the first line of the Quito Metro project.

The experts will work together with the staff of the Metropolitan Metropolitan Public Company of Quito (EPMMQ) defining the characteristics of the Integrated Public Transport System of the city and, in addition, to parameterize the equipment received and all the systems installed for the operation of the Quito Metro.

It is worth mentioning that with this technical information the terms will be written reference to negotiate with international companies interested in being the operator of the Metro together with the EPMMQ.

Currently, the Quito Metro is in a pre-operation phase, which implies testing the integration of all the components of the capital’s new means of transport, that is, infrastructure, facilities and rolling stock, which includes the fleet of 18 trains and other support vehicles. (I)
