Italian and world cinema star Gina Lollobrigida has died. This is reported by the agency ANSA. She was 95 years old.

Among those created by the Italian beauty, viewers especially remember the roles in the films Fanfan-Tulip, where she played with Gerard Philip, Shame the Devil, in which Humphrey Bogart acted as her partner, Never So Little, where she happened to work with Frank Sinatra . Also among the iconic works of the actress are the paintings “Alina”, “Provincial”, “Notre Dame Cathedral”, “The most beautiful woman in the world”, etc.

Lollobrigida’s acting career peaked in the 1950s and 1960s – after that, the actress starred a little, believing that each next role should be stronger than the previous one, which, with the falling level of scripts, is not so easy.

Last September, Lollobrigida is known to have undergone hip surgery after an unfortunate fall at her home. Despite her advanced age, the actress led an active life. In particular, she was fond of photography – and held many exhibitions of her work. Her photo album “My Italy”, withstood several reprints, was considered a kind of encyclopedia of the country. Lollobrigida also sculpted and painted. The movie star’s plans were to release an album of his drawings.

Lollobrigida is a Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Knight of the Legion of Honor, Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters.

The actress received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles in 2018.
