60% of the operations carried out by members of the National Police in the Eloy Alfaro district, in the south of Quito, are focused on removing the students who are loitering in parks and sidewalks near their educational institutions. This is so recurrent that they have calculated that approximately 250 to 300 students are withdrawn every day.
Another problem that the police have identified is the proliferation of clandestine parties.
Diego Barriga, commander of the Eloy Alfaro district, pointed out that they have identified that students receive invitations to parties for the value of $0.50 to $2.00, approximately.
The Eloy Alfaro area is within the perimeter between Rodrigo de Chávez avenue to Morán Valverde avenue, and from Simón Bolívar avenue to the Lloa sector. It includes 10 urban circuits and one rural. All this in the south of the capital.

Another of the constant operations carried out in the Eloy Alfaro district is the search of citizens to confiscate bladed weapons. In Quito there is an ordinance that penalizes those who carry bladed weapons, however, according to the Police commander, the Metropolitan Control Agency (AMC) does not have the resources to penalize everyone.
