Four men were shot at the Isla del Valle cooperative, on Trinitaria Island, south of Guayaquil. The event occurred around 6:00 p.m. this Friday, January 13, and those affected were taken by their relatives to a nearby hospital.
Until this Saturday it was known that two of the victims had died, while two other young people were injured. This was confirmed by Major Juan Cruz, Head of Operations for the Esteros district.

The deceased are Jipson Armendariz, 34, and Publio López, 32, both with extensive criminal records for robbery, drug trafficking, and crimes against life.
The wounded are Ángel M., 19, and José V., 16. According to Major Cruz, the former was in critical condition after receiving several shots, one of them to the head. The minor is stable; he was shot twice in the legs.
At the crime scene, Criminalistics agents raised 18 ballistic evidence of 9 mm caliber.
Witnesses to the attack said that the hitmen arrived in a black car and fired on the men, who were gathered in the street.
