The first franchised store opened last March in Riocentro Los Ceibos, in the north of Guayaquihim, and now It will be in the Riocentro in Quito, on Avenida 6 de Diciembre and Tomás de Berlanga. The inauguration will be this November 1st.

Nicolás Escobar, Olive Garden operations manager in Ecuadormentions that with this investment They activate one hundred jobs, including positions of managers, cooks, among others. These personnel are being trained by certified trainers from the American company.

“We have received the international staff, they arrived last Tuesday and we are in the process of internal training. They are people with all the experience of correct processes, so that the new personnel can replicate what the brand projects”, indicates Escobar.

This restaurant will have a capacity of 188 people, unlike Guayaquil, which is for 271 clients. It is the only detail that varies, according to Escobar, who adds that the decoration will be the same with architectural details, artificial trees and family tables.

The attention will be from 12:00 to 23:00 and will have imported kitchens. “These are top-quality, high-tech equipment. It is a very important investment in terms of spending and we trust in the quality and proposals that we are going to place to recover the investment in the shortest possible time”, he explains.

80% of the raw material is also imported from the United States, such as condiments, seasonings, ravioli and eight types of cheese.

“It is a long process and many paperwork. We are increasing imports,” he says, adding that they hope to launch new offerings for the menu and will do so when that acquisition is finalized.

“We always want to maintain the exclusivity of the flavors and consistency with the brand. We are going to continue making products so that our menu continues to be strong in terms of the offer proposal to the guests ”, she expresses.

Olive Garden expects to open a third restaurant in the Riocentro El Dorado shopping center in the first quarter of 2023 and the location for the fourth has not yet been defined.

“This is the second step of a slightly larger project to continue opening more restaurants in Ecuador. We hope very soon to dedicate ourselves to the opening of the third in El Dorado and there is already a confirmed fourth”, details Escobar.
