Violent acts between inmates were reported on the afternoon of this Friday, January 13, in the El Inca prison, a prison located in the urban area of Quito. As a result of the situation, the death of inmate César V.
This was announced by the National Comprehensive Care Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI), which reported that the corresponding protocols were activated due to the alert.

To control the situation, operations were carried out with the support of the National Police and personnel from the Penitentiary Security and Surveillance Corps.

In total, 110 uniformed officers from the National Police of the Special Operations Group (COE), the Order Maintenance Unit (UMO) and servers from the Security and Penitentiary Surveillance Corps intervened in the emergency.
According to the SNAI, the actions deployed in the prison retook control of the prison.
