The Omni Hospital, the private health home where an armed attack took place this morning in which a person was murdered, came out to give its version of what happened.

Carlos K., a 35-year-old man who was shot last Friday in the Kennedy citadel, was hospitalized in that health home, when he was traveling in an armored car.
He has several processes in the Ecuadorian judicial system.
The versions indicate that armed men would have come to liquidate Carlos K. In that attempt, one person was murdered. This would be one of the hitmen who arrived at the hospital and who was repelled by guards of Carlos K.
Preliminarily, the version circulated that the deceased was the custodian of Carlos K.
Carlos Omar K., the man whom hitmen were looking for in the clinic, has a history of extortion, drug trafficking, breach of trust and wrongful death
After the situation, the hospital indicated that they activated the protocol to contact the 911 system, which allowed the displacement of the police to take control of the situation.
This establishment indicated that it is bound by the Constitution, the Organic Health Law and the Patient Rights Law to provide care to all persons in an emergency condition.
“The unsafe conditions in general and the occurrence of these events have forced us to reinforce our systems to provide greater security to patients and staff working in the hospital,” he said. (YO)
