Four people lost their lives in a traffic accident caused Tuesday afternoon by the Dos Hermanos ravine, in the El Retorno sector, near the city of Zamora.

According to residents of the sector, those now deceased belonged to the ranks of the Pachakutik movement, who accompanied the candidates for the Autonomous Decentralized Parochial Government of Sabanilla in the political campaign.

The deceased were identified as César Cornelio SM, 75 years old; Second L., 45 years old; Patricio L., 21 years old; and Celso L., 75 years old.

According to versions of passers-by, it is a single-cab truck for private use that lost the traffic lane and plunged down a ravine, at least 50 meters.

A preliminary report from National Police agents reports that at least seven people were traveling in the car, four died and three were transferred to hospitals in wounded condition, before they were treated by paramedics. (YO)
