Three men were killed around midnight this Sunday in Lago Agrio. The attack was caused by two people who were riding a motorcycle, according to Álex Sandoval, chief of the Sucumbíos Police Subzone.
The assassination-style attack occurred in a building located on Tungurahua and Eugenio Espejo streets, in Lago Agrio. There, five people were gathered, according to the Police, drinking alcohol when they were shot by a 9-millimeter caliber weapon.
One person died in the place, while four others were taken to the Marcos Vinicio Iza hospital in that canton, where two more people died early this Monday morning.

The victims of this attack were identified as Cristian Guerrero, Darío Morales and Geovanny Aguilera.
Sandoval pointed out that at the home where these people were attacked on Sunday night, in October, the Anti-Narcotics Unit carried out a search, arrested two people and seized several kilos of narcotics.

“The investigative staff is looking for information in this place (where the attack took place) and in other places to see if we can apprehend someone who is related to this event,” Sandoval said. (YO)
