In the Horizontes del Fortín cooperative, in Nueva Prosperina, three members of a family were once again executed in the middle of an incursion of armed men into a house.
The victims are the brothers Brayan, Kevin and Jonathan Barberán Ibarra, who were assassinated in front of their parents in their living room at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 8.
Four subjects on two motorcycles arrived in the area, located on top of a hill, entered the house and despite the pleas of their relatives executed the three young men, ages 22, 24 and 27.

Two of the deceased had been released from jail two weeks ago.
Kevin and Jonathan, ages 24 and 27, were arrested in 2019 for drug trafficking. In 2021, Kevin escaped from prison, but was recaptured soon after and booked into the regional jail. Despite this, he regained his freedom on November 25, 2022.
Three days later Jonathan also left jail, who was in medium security at the Litoral Penitentiary.
The younger brother was Bryan, he was 22 years old and he was the only one without a criminal record. According to his family, he worked driving a linear motorcycle at the entrance to 8.
The young men’s father told the agents that he hid in the bathroom when he heard the shots and that he did not see the murderers. The mother of the young people did plead with the hit men and in front of her they executed them.
Other relatives were in the house, including an 8-year-old girl and her father, brother-in-law of the deceased today.
He recounted that the hitmen wore masks and that one of them told him: “Take your daughter and go somewhere else.”
The frightened man ran with the minor into the room. From there she heard at least 15 shots.
When they left they saw the bodies of the three brothers in the living room and kitchen. They were executed with shots to the head, chest and arms.
