The military of the Republic of Korea raised planes and helicopters on Tuesday because they mistook a flock of birds for North Korean drones. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Yonhap agency.

According to him, the South Korean armed forces discovered at about 13:00 local time (07:00 Moscow time) in Ganghwa County, objects that were previously identified as DPRK drones. Aviation equipment was sent to the site, the military monitored the “object” until about 16:00 (10:00 Moscow time). The agency points out that, unlike on Monday, this time the South Korean side did not transmit warnings and did not open warning fire.

Earlier, authorities in Incheon City informed local residents that drones were seen near Seonmodo Island in Ganghwa County. According to the agency, they were reported to the authorities of the city of Incheon by the Marine Corps of the Republic of Korea. Its representatives noticed that the alleged aircraft appeared and disappeared around 13:30 local time (07:30 Moscow time). The messages were sent around 15:00 (09:00 Moscow time).
