In gastronomy we have several, and today, Sunday, we are days away from celebrating All Souls Day, which leads us to the preparation of colada morada and guaguas de pan, two products rooted in our culinary culture for decades, which we could well prepare. at any time of the year, since we always have the ingredients, but it is in this month when by tradition we decide to make them, and that is what makes them so special.

Maintaining its elaboration and traditional recipes is important, although everyone does it in their own style, and that is the fun. The buses have multiple dough recipes, ranging from the most basic to doughs enriched with butter, milk, sugar, honey, eggs and stuffed, which leads us to a pastry category bread.

Bread buses recipe (8 units)

Ingredients:

  • 1,000g of flour
  • 10g of salt
  • 200g of sugar
  • 200g butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 200g of milk
  • 50g yeast
  • 10 g Spanish anise powder
  • 10 g ground cinnamon
  • 10g vanilla

Elaboration:

  1. Place the flour in the shape of a volcano on the table and form a crater.
  2. Place the cinnamon, anise, salt, sugar and vanilla inside. Mingle.
  3. In the center place the milk, eggs, yeast, butter and dilute with your hands.
  4. Go incorporating the flour towards the center of the volcano until all the ingredients are mixed. Knead until you get a homogeneous and dry mass.
  5. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Divide it into portions of 150 grams and let it rest for 10 more minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough with the help of a rolling pin and fill it with delicacy, pastry cream or pieces of chocolate.
  8. Shape the bus forming the head and body. Place them on a previously greased baking tray.
  9. Let the environment rest until it doubles its size. Then paint with beaten egg and bake for 18 minutes at 180 degrees.
  10. Let cool and decorate.
