The mayor of Portoviejo, Agustín Casanova, complained to Marcelo Cabrera, Minister of Transport and Public Works (MTOP), for the supposed slowness of this state portfolio to continue works that have delays in the capital of Manabi. This occurred during a meeting of Manabi mayors with the government official in Montecristi, last Thursday the 4th.
Casanova told Cabrera that in the continuity of the municipal building it has been weeks that no progress has been made with the placement of glass and several additional works. “What really bothers me is that these technical projects, with technical approval, do not can be closed; that is indolence ”, declared Casanova, adding that he seeks solutions and not generate conflicts, as he considers that there are delays in the zonal coordination 4 of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP).
In the video that went viral on social networks after the news web portal Impact Manabita it issued, Casanova also told Fanny Farías, MTOP zonal coordinator 4, that they want to resolve the termination of the fishing facility in the Crucita parish. Regarding this, the mayor said that the delegation of the Ministry in Manabí already has the reports on the continuity of the work.
Farías responded that now the works managed by state entities, such as Strategic Ecuador, have problems that they seek to solve.
“What happens is that the times are being extended and I feel that there is indolence on the part of the MTOP zonal coordination. I have to be clear and express my disagreement as a representative of Portoviejo ”, declared Casanova.
Minister Cabrera replied to Casanova that he came to Manabí to seek solutions to existing problems in overdue works, in some cases, for several years. “Let’s agree and do things as they should be,” declared Cabrera. (I)
