The authorities of the Orenburg region reported the death of two servicemen in a special operation in Ukraine

During the military special operation of Russia in Ukraine, two servicemen from the Orenburg region were killed. It is reported by Orenday with reference to the authorities of the region.

In Orsk, the funeral of Alexander Volkhin, head of the control platoon, who died in Ukraine, took place. He is survived by his wife and daughter. It is reported that Volkhin was awarded the Order of Courage posthumously.

Meanwhile, in Krasnokholm, they said goodbye to 33-year-old paratrooper Anton Torgovin, who left four children. The government of the region, as well as the authorities of Orenburg and Krasnokholm, came to see him off on his last journey.

According to the site, a total of 24 natives of the Orenburg region died in Ukraine.

Recall that the Russian Ministry of Defense only once, namely on March 2, called losses during military operations in Ukraine among Russian military personnel. According to the agency, 498 soldiers were killed during the special operation, 1597 were injured. Since then, reports of the death of servicemen have been received from the administrations of various regions of the Russian Federation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that more than 7 million rubles would be paid to family members of servicemen who died in the operation in Ukraine; the wounded will receive an additional payment of 3 million rubles.

On February 24, Putin made an emergency appeal to the Russians and announced a special military operation in the Donbass. In his speech, he stated that “circumstances require decisive action from Russia.” According to Putin, “Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.
