European Union summons young Ecuadorians to join the advisory committee

Until January 31, young people interested in being part of the first Youth Sounding Board in Ecuador may apply.

This is a call from the European Union in the country that was promoted in June in Ecuador after the visit of an official. This seeks to empower young people as agents of fundamental change to build more peaceful and democratic societies”, said Charles-Michel Geurts, Ambassador of the European Union in Ecuador.

The committee will be made up of 25 people and seeks to represent all the provinces of the country. There, young people will be able to contribute to the actions of the European Union in Ecuador. It is expected that the needs of the population can be identified and plans to address them executed.

In order to apply, you need to be between 18 and 30 years old, reside in Ecuador, work with organizations focused on youth or other activism, have proposals on the needs of youth, and be willing to be part of the group for two years.

“The meetings of the Youth Advisory Committee will be held every three months, or more frequently according to the needs agreed between the CoCoECU and the Delegation”, it was specified.
