Several girls from Ecuador will be able to be part of the Ella es astronauta program promoted by the She Is foundation and with the support of Fundación Mujeres sin Límites, the Global Women Foundation (RAW) and UN Women.
This initiative seeks to positively impact the lives of girls in vulnerable conditions in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. This is through an educational program in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, which is complemented by a visit to the facilities that NASA has in Houston (Texas).
She’s an astronaut, a dream come true
Among the activities that the girls carry out during their trip are the creation of robots, virtual simulation, creation and takeoff of space rockets, as well as talks with astronauts, scientists, doctors and engineers from NASA.
In 2022, ten Ecuadorian girls were selected. Virtual education lasts four months.
