The Kremlin does not know about the alleged plans of Russian President Vladimir Putin to go to Donetsk for Christmas. This was announced to TASS by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

“We are not aware of any such rumors,” he said.

At the same time, the agency adds, the Kremlin has not yet specified exactly where Putin will be at the Christmas service.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, when asked whether the president would attend a service in one of the regions of the Russian Federation or whether he would come to the church in Novo-Ogaryovo, said: “Neither one nor the other,” promising to give information later.

Recall that on Thursday, Putin instructed Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to introduce a ceasefire regime, which from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7 will be in effect along the entire line of contact. It was reported that the head of state took into account the calls of Patriarch Kirill for a ceasefire for Christmas.

In Kyiv, according to Kommersant, Putin’s corresponding order was called “hypocrisy.” This, in particular, was stated by adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak.
