The multiple crime occurred at dawn this Wednesday, January 4, in the Divino Niño 2 cooperative, located in the sector known as Ciudad de Dios, near La Ladrillera, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
There, a family was riddled with bullets after armed men entered through the roof of a one-story house.
According to the police, the murderers unscrewed a zinc plate and, at 03:30, while they were sleeping, shot the five members of the family.
Three men died, while a pregnant woman and a child are hospitalized.
The deceased are Carlos Vélez Zabando, with a criminal record; Juan Carlos Ube Gómez, with a history of drug trafficking and organized crime; and Jhonny Andrade Ube, who has no criminal record.

The bodies had several gunshot wounds and were found in a room.
The injured woman is Elem UG, who is three months pregnant and wears an electric shackle for organized crime, just like her deceased brother.
The pregnant woman was shot in the mouth and would be in critical condition in a hospital in Guayaquil.

Meanwhile, an 11-year-old boy, who was also injured in the attack, was taken to a children’s hospital, where he is recovering. He was wounded by a bullet that grazed his waist.
Minutes after this attack, on Casuarina Avenue (Entrance to 8) a minor under the age of 15 was shot.
The body was handcuffed, and next to the body the hitmen left a note announcing that the war between the four gangs that are fighting over that territory for the sale of drugs is beginning. (YO)
