In Quitumbe, in the La Florida neighborhood, a mother and her 10-day-old baby were reportedly attacked.
This was stated by the 16-year-old teenager, who indicated that they were both at home alone when two unknown persons allegedly arrived and beat her and her baby up.
The mother, identified as Brittany Ch., reportedly lay unconscious until her partner and mother-in-law arrived.
There they noticed that the baby had no vital signs and they called the police. The newborn was on the bed.
The crime was reported at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3. Until 22:00 the police were in the house. The baby’s body was then taken to the Legal Medicine Department for autopsy.
According to the external examination, the neonate had a skull fracture, a bruise on the neck, another bruise on the left arm, and abrasions on the elbows.

The investigators said that the bedroom where the alleged attack took place was disordered, that there was disorder.
Among the evidence raised by the agents is a white cable and samples of the nail beds (to search for genetic material in the nails) were also taken from the right and left hand of Brithany Ch.
