Young man died after falling from the third floor of a building in Quevedo

José, 13 years old, died after falling from the third floor of the building where he and his family spent the New Year holidays. The event occurred on Monday afternoon in Quevedo.

The minor’s relatives are unaware of the causes that led to the young man’s fall, a fact that was recorded on a security camera located in front of the family building.

In that video it can be seen that the father of the minor arrived at that place and just 3 seconds after descending from the vehicle the minor abruptly fell, and the parent gave him first aid.

After that fall, the minor was also helped by medical professionals who lived near the scene of the incident and was even taken to the IESS hospital in Quevedo, where the doctors only verified his death.

Cristina, the boy’s aunt, indicated that they still do not know how the young man fell, but they do know that the relatives, who reside in Quito, were already getting ready to return to the capital of the Republic.
