Three packed bodies were found in rural Chone

Hands tied and lifeless, three bodies were found on a rural road in the Chone canton, in the north of Manabita.

The bodies were found at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday the 29th at the El Contento site in the Eloy Alfaro parish, according to a video that circulated on social networks.

According to the first unofficial reports, the deceased are three men who were packed and placed in plastic bags.

Residents of the El Contento sector were surprised to see those packages and when they got closer they were able to verify that it was a human body.

For this reason, they immediately alerted the police authorities and the political lieutenant of the parish. The latter did the same with relief and investigation agencies.

Police personnel arrived at the scene and were able to verify that the three bodies showed signs of violence and that they were tied up and wrapped in plastic covers.

The gendarmes delimited the scene with yellow tape to raise evidence that would allow the investigation to proceed.

A Legal Medicine vehicle arrived in the area while the staff of the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) carried out the removal of the corpses, the same ones that were transferred to the morgue in Manta.

According to a police report, so far this year there have already been 77 murders in Chone. (YO)
