The Swedish tax authority demanded that a Russian businessman pay a tax debt of more than 224 million kroons (about $21.3 million) by the end of January, TT news agency reports.

According to the agency, the businessman’s family lives in an apartment of 270 square meters. m in the most prestigious area of ​​Stockholm since 2008, but he himself is not registered as a resident in Sweden. The IRS ruling states that the Russian has lived in Sweden long enough for several years of income to be taxed in the kingdom.

As reported, the Bailiff Service of the country conducted an inspection and, as an interim measure, seized property belonging to a businessman for a total of 96 million crowns ($9.13 million), including the aforementioned apartment in Stockholm, a land plot on the first sea coastline in the Stockholm archipelago, a Porsche car and Rolex watches. Later, the arrest was removed from the land plot.
