For most Catholics and Christians, the Advent is the preparation time for the arrival of the Christmascommemorating the Jesus birthevery December 25.

The Advent is the period of four weeks which begins on the Sunday closest to the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle (November 30) until the three following Sundays before December 25. Historians estimate that it is celebrated from the 4th century. Originally, it was a time for converts to Christianity to prepare for the baptismbut is now more commonly associated with the birth anniversary anticipation of Christ on December 25.

How to make an advent calendar?

Many advent calendars are simple and reveal a image of part of the nativity story behind every little door, or a biblical passage.
