Damián Perea (38 years old) died in a piece of furniture in a house with four bullet wounds, near the artisanal fishermen’s landing area of ​​the Isla Piedad neighborhood, at about 8:00 p.m.

Relatives and acquaintances of the victim did not provide details to the police officers for fear of reprisals.

They only collected the corpse and took it to his home, which prevented specialized personnel from the National Police from carrying out the lifting of the law and its transfer to the Esmeraldas forensic center.

In Rioverde, in the north of Esmeraldas, Willy Solís Cortez, approximately 23 years old, died, apparently in a shootout in the Palestine compound, yesterday afternoon.

The Police and Armed Forces intervened to retake control and security of the sector. In another operation in the Chontaduro parish, in the Rioverde canton, a teenager was captured who was carrying a firearm and the retention of eight motorcycles for investigations.
