The Federal Air Transport Agency will stop publishing alerts on the extension of the regime of restrictions on flights to 11 airports in the south and central part of Russia, RBC reports, citing two sources close to the aviation authorities.
According to the interlocutors of the agency, the decision was made not by the Federal Air Transport Agency, but by higher departments due to the fact that the messages “carry little useful information for citizens”, and information reaches the airports and airlines themselves, including through air navigation notices (NOTAM).
Despite the fact that the Federal Air Transport Agency did not publicly announce the extension of the restriction, it remains, representatives of the airports confirmed.
In the latest notification of the Federal Air Transport Agency, which was published on December 23, the ban on flights was introduced until January 2.
Flights to the airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista were limited on February 24, the day the Russian special operation in Ukraine began. Since then, the Federal Air Transport Agency has regularly extended the ban at intervals ranging from several days to a week. A total of 49 such notifications were made this year.
