Jean Pierre V., a minor under 15 years of age, died on the afternoon of this Wednesday, December 21, when he was shot while crossing a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Perimetral road, through the Guamote sector, which belongs to the Pascuales district.
The crime occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. and dozens of people who were waiting for the bus at a nearby bus stop witnessed how two men on a motorcycle also went up the structure following the teenager and shot him.
Jean Pierre would have received two shots in the face. After that, according to witnesses, he lost his balance and fell from a height of three meters onto the road.
“She was a working woman,” say customers of Yolanda Tene’s store, collateral victim of gunmen
When Criminalistics and Dinased agents arrived, the body was removed and they looked for ballistic evidence, but found none.
Major Esteban Balladares, the chief in charge of Dinased, said the gunmen could have used a revolver.
He also added that since he is a minor, his background is not public, which complicates further investigation of the victim.
The mother of the minor did not give details to the Police, but agents presume that he would be involved in micro-trafficking.
In Pascuales, 145 murders have been reported until December 22.
So far in 2022, a total of 1,460 murders have been reported in the area (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón). (YO)
