If you want to stand out at the holidays this year, here are five innovative ways to decorate the Christmas tree. You can also combine them with the decorations of the rest of your house.

Traditional styling, with a twist

If you prefer to keep the classic Christmas colors on your tree: green, red and gold, this idea is perfect for you. The first step, after assembling the tree, is to place the lighting. Arrange the wires so that they are hidden among the branches and are evenly distributed.

Then you can add the larger decorations. Red and green flowers, or ribbons that are entwined from the bottom up. In the spaces that remain empty, be sure to fill with the balls of the colors you want and of different sizes. To give it a twist, you can put personalized and special ornaments on the tree for your family. Don’t forget to finish with an ornament at the top, like a star or an angel.

In many Nordic countries, Christmas is celebrated in the cold and snow. For this reason, some people like to imitate the appearance of a snowy tree, with colors of silver and white.

First the lights are placed, twinkling white throughout the tree. Then the larger ornaments are added: flowers, stars and ribbons that go around the branches. In the empty spaces you can add metallic, pearl, white or silver balls. Any other decoration in this color will highlight the winter effect.

After assembling the tree and placing the lights between the branches, you can begin to carefully place the ornaments, which are not made of real candy. The decorations can be of different colors and sizes, and to be more creative, the children can create their own.
