Érick Trejo, 28, and Luis Cetre, 26, were killed with revolver shots inside a hairdressing salon in the Valle San Rafael sector, in the south of the city of Esmeraldas, on the afternoon of this Tuesday, December 20.
The double murder occurred when the two men were inside the premises and two unknown subjects arrived at the establishment and shot them several times.

The attackers would have fled in a vehicle that was waiting for them near the premises, located on the main road of the E15 south Esmeraldas-Atacames highway.
Investigations by the Technical Criminalistics Unit revealed that Érick Trejo was killed in a seat waiting for customers.
Meanwhile, Luis Cetre was shot near the entrance door to the premises and was transferred in a police patrol car to the southern Delfina Torres hospital, where he died, said Santiago Viteri, head of the Esmeraldas police district.
This is the fourth homicide directed at hairdressers in the cities of Esmeraldas and Quinindé, between November and this month.
On November 6, Jonathan Quiñónez Quiñónez, 23, was shot dead by unknown persons in a hairdresser’s on 3 de Julio Avenue, in Quinindé, in the center of the Verde Province.
On the 28th of the same month, Pedro Pablo Heredia, 40, a technician at the Esmeraldas refinery, was murdered while sitting in an armchair inside a barbershop in the Codesa sector, diagonal to the bus station in the Esmeralda capital.
Between the previous Sunday and the recent Monday, three other crimes occurred: that of the 16-year-old teenager Jhonny CM, next to the door of the San José Benito Cottolengo Catholic Church, in the El Arenal neighborhood, in Esmeraldas. And that of the taxi driver Willian Castañeda and a passenger who chartered a ride to the Valle Alto 2 neighborhood, in Quinindé.
Arrested for robbery and kidnapping
Commander Santiago Viteri also reported the arrest of five individuals accused of allegedly holding three people against their will (kidnapping) and robbing a public transport unit.
The kidnapped were found by the Police, handcuffed, inside a home in a neighborhood in the south of the city of Esmeraldas.

Tactical units of the Special Operations Group (GOE) and the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR) raided the place, where eight people fled from the house, but three were apprehended. One is underage.
The other two citizens captured were for the crime of assault and robbery of a public transport bus and passed to the orders of the judicial authority. (YO)
