Representatives of public entities and the State, along with delegates from military entities, attended this event in which the importance of Manta in the development of the province of Manabí was highlighted.
In her speech, Marciana Valdiviezo, Manta councilor, declared that in this canton they are doing their best with the available resources and that the councilors are working hard to change the history of this Manabi city. “Our pre-Hispanic cultures, when they needed rain water, they danced and danced until it rained. Here we are in this fight, walking, managing, sowing, tirelessly cultivating, building, and not only as far as we can advance, not only as far as we can go, not only as far as the strength gives us, but we will continue to do so until it rains ” he declared.
This event, organized by the Municipality of Manta, was not attended by five councilors who maintain differences with the current mayor Agustín Intriago, who later participated in another act of delivery of a mobile veterinary clinic.

For his part, Councilor Hernán Salcedo thanked the support offered by police, military, health, firefighters, civil traffic agents and municipal control, for the constant support they have given to the city in times of misfortune, such as in the pandemic.
“Manta has become a city of opportunities, industrial, tourist, sports, a city that we want to turn into a large city with the support of each one of you. We are willing to make the best of our efforts despite the hard times that we have had to live, ”said Salcedo.
