Pablo Daniel Sornoza Giler, 37, and Jean Carlos Sornoza Quiñónez, 26, were found hanging in the isolation area of pavilion A of the Bahía de Caráquez Social Rehabilitation Center (CRS).
The discovery was made at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, while they were counting the inmates in the incoming shift relay. There they realized that the bodies were suspended in the isolation area.

The inmates had been transferred from the city of Manta and admitted to the CRS Bahía de Caráquez at 2:40 p.m. this Monday, December 19.
Criminalistics and Dinased personnel arrived at the CRS Bahía de Caráquez, where, by authorization of the prosecutor on duty and SNAI authorities, the bodies were removed. The bodies were transferred to the Institute of Forensic Sciences of Manta. (YO)
