The first rains that have fallen in the northern area of ​​Guayas begin to wreak havoc in some areas.

In the canton of El Empalme, several families were affected by water and mud entering their homes after a heavy downpour.

One of the sectors affected is the Guayas parish, due to the entrance to the La Caraca compound.

Digital media from El Empalme indicated that around five families were affected in that area.

The residents ask the authorities for a solution to prevent water from re-entering the homes.

In the Dos de Mayo sector, neighbors reported that water entered the properties in an area where asphalt work was carried out.

On Saturday, the rain that fell in the La Karina 2 sector, located on Via Quevedo, caused problems in some homes.

The neighbors had to remove or raise their belongings to prevent the water from damaging them.

According to residents, a sewage system was built in the area that was left unfinished and municipal machinery removed earth and the material gave way and entered the houses.

The portal Digital Splicing reported the case of a house in which the mud penetrated and damaged belongings and clothing. It happened in the lower part of the Ecuadorian Oriente sector.

There, the house of an older adult was filled with mud and water. All the water that came from the upper part entered the house.
