The State Attorney General’s Office carried out a search this morning at the home of the judge of Paján Simón García, with the aim of looking for evidence related to an alleged crime of prevarication.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, irregularities are being investigated in the issuance of a release ticket for a person sentenced for aggravated robbery.

On the FGE website, in the complaint consultation section, it is indicated that the complaint against García entered on Tuesday, December 13 and is made by this entity for the alleged crime of prevarication of the judges or arbitrators.

Judge García Tello ordered the release of the sentenced Daniel Salcedo Bonilla, apprehended for various crimes.
At the moment, the Manabita judge, resident in Portoviejo, is suspended from his duties for 90 days, in accordance with a resolution of the Council of the Judiciary, this due to a complaint filed against him in an inquiry into a tenancy case, by by Kelvin Quintero Jaramillo.
The operative part of the Council of the Judiciary, a decision adopted unanimously, confirms the measure to suspend the work of the judicial officer, as well as his salary for a period of three months.

In a statement issued by the Council of the Judiciary, it is indicated that “the measure of provisional suspension is justified by the need for the alleged negligence in which the judge would have incurred not to be repeated in other processes that are in his charge.
