Bars and nightclubs with tourism registration in the country may open the doors of their establishments until 04:00. The announcement was made by the Minister of Tourism, Niels Olsen, through his Twitter account.

“The pandemic hit this sector that employs thousands of people. With this extension of hours we want them to recover and continue to grow”, wrote the head of the State portfolio on the morning of this Thursday the 15th.
“It is not optimal, but it is a lifesaver”: this is how business owners in the tourism sector react to the reduction of the curfew time slot
This was one of the requests from the owners of these establishments to recover after the losses registered since 2020.
Olsen explained, through a video, that the new opening hours are an extension to the previously established hours that were until 02:00.

This was one of the requests by the unions that bring together the owners of these establishments. A month ago, just after the declaration of a state of emergency and curfew, a march was held and the government was urged to eliminate the measure.
At that time, members of the sector indicated that their situation was critical and that they had registered losses due to the cancellation of contracts and reservations for November and December, months in which billing is highest.
In social networks there are divided opinions to this announcement.
On the one hand, the news is applauded because they point out that this will help reactivate musicians who provide their services in these businesses. On the other hand, instead, they affirm that this extension is announced just at the moment when cases of respiratory diseases and COVID-19 are increasing. (YO)
