Raising the issue of a complete ban on remote work for IT specialists who left Russia is “premature,” said Maksut Shadayev, head of the Ministry of Digital Development, at a government hour in the State Duma, RBC reports.
According to Shadayev, such a measure “of course will encourage them to take jobs in foreign companies and reduce the likelihood of their return” to Russia. At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development allowed restrictions for employees who left who work on state information systems – he noted that for this, relevant requirements can be included in contracts.
Shadayev said that up to 10% of employees of IT companies left the country during two waves of migration and did not return. “About 100 thousand IT specialists are now outside our country. At the same time, 80% of them continue to work for Russian companies while in friendly countries,” he stressed.
Recall, earlier it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Digital Development refused to support the introduction of a legislative ban on remote work in IT companies for employees who are abroad.
