Roskachestvo intends to recommend tightening the rules for the sale of Huggy Waggi soft toys, which are often sold under the guise of souvenirs without certificates of conformity and are not subject to regulations mandatory for children’s toys. According to TASS, Elena Saratseva, deputy head of Roskachestvo, told reporters about this.

According to her, in the second quarter of 2023, Roskachestvo will propose to the State Commission for Combating Illegal Circulation of Industrial Products to tighten the requirements for turnover so that such toys cannot be sold under the guise of a souvenir. Huggi-Waggi sold as souvenirs will need to display a warning that these products are not intended for children. If the necessary regulations were observed during the manufacture, then the product can be labeled as a toy.

In September, Roskachestvo was going to check how “Haggi-Waggi” is safe for the child’s psyche. The reason for the examination in the department was the concern of parents about the influence of frightening toys on the fragile psyche.
