Most Russians plan to spend 20-50% more on New Year celebrations than last year. So, a third of respondents – 31% – believe that their costs will increase by 30%. The corresponding study was conducted by the Ozon marketplace, the data of which is provided by RBC.

According to analysts, over a quarter (28%) of respondents spent 30-50 thousand rubles last New Year.

Now every fifth respondent is going to spend 10-20% more than last year, and 16% – 1.5 times more.

Residents of a number of large cities expect their spending to double or more.

According to the results of the survey, a quarter of respondents decorate artificial Christmas trees for the holiday, which are now more popular than living ones. More than a quarter of respondents (27%) buy Christmas decorations for their home, another 21% renew their collection of Christmas decorations completely or partially every year.

As for the celebration of the New Year, this time many people choose to celebrate it at home alone or in a narrow circle (24%, the most common answer), and one in ten decided not to celebrate at all.
