From this Friday, December 9 to Sunday the 11th, the Pichincha Middle of the World International Balloon Festival 2022 will be held.
The event will take place from 05:00 to 23:00 at the facilities of the Middle of the World City of the Prefecture of Pichincha.
Quito will host the I International Balloon Festival in South America
There will be more than twenty hot air balloons so that people who attend can see the assembly, ignition and takeoff, but people will not be able to get on.
Another of the planned activities will be a light and music show with balloons anchored to the ground, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. Then there will be the Night of Colors, concerts in which national and international artists will participate.
In addition, a gastronomic fair and productive fairs will be held with entrepreneurs and artisans from the province of Pichincha.

The event is held in partnership with the organizing committee of the Guanajuato-Mexico Interglobal Latin American Balloon Festival. It also has the support of Quito Turismo, the Pichincha Chamber of Tourism and the Federation of Provincial Chambers of Tourism.
The entrance to the Middle of the World City has a cost of $5.
The Pichincha Prefecture, in a statement, indicated that it is being carried out for the first time in South America, and it seeks to reactivate tourism, the economy and production in the province. (YO)
