Knives, cell phones and marijuana envelopes, among the objects seized during the search in the Loja prison

Investigative, Intelligence and Preventive personnel of the Loja National Police carried out an operation called CRS Loja Registry, early this Wednesday morning. During the control actions, it was possible to seize several objects whose origin is unknown and whose possession is illegal within the Social Rehabilitation Center.

Among the objects seized by the police agents are ammunition, knives, machetes, cell phones, spikes, saws, chargers, speakers, liquor bottles, scales to weigh grams, laptop, routerstips, craft saws, chips of cell phones, memories, canned beers, televisions, kitchenettes, packets of marijuana, wrappers of controlled substances and around $1,200.

SNAI maintains that the reinsertion and social rehabilitation of inmates is done “without privileges”

The search was carried out with the participation of officials from the Prosecutor’s Office and from the National Comprehensive Care Service for Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI).

The seized objects were admitted to the warehouses of the Judicial Police with the respective chains of custody. (YO)
