The driver apparently lost control.
An accident was reported this Wednesday morning in the sector known as the “death curve”, on the Panamericana E35, in Samanga. According to Major Gem Villacís, the type of accident would have been loss of traffic lane with crashing and subsequent overturning.
He added that the car had been circulating in the north-south direction, from Salcedo to Ambato. Upon entering the bend in the sector, the driver apparently lost control. He commented that in the accident seven people were injured and were taken in the ambulances of the assistance units to different health homes in Ambato.

He said that after treating the injured in the accident, the road was cleaned in order to normalize vehicular circulation, taking into account that by the end of the holiday the influx of automobiles was considerable.
On the other hand, Sergeant Juan Hinojosa, SIAT personnel, indicated that the accident jeep, Guayas plate, occurred at about 10:30 this Wednesday.
Of the injured, four have serious injuries, while the rest are not considered.

He argued that the traffic accident was caused by an apparent speeding of the car, which caused him to lose the traffic lane to hit the retaining wall. It ended with a multi-circle rollover.
Hinojosa said that, fortunately, due to the operation carried out by the National Police at the end of the holiday, they were with units on the road and a prompt intervention could be carried out. (I)
