A boat with three outboard motors that was sailing in a suspicious attitude on the high seas was detained this Sunday. After the inspection, inside (double bottom) 1,146 blocks with presumed controlled substances were detected.

Four people of Ecuadorian nationality were apprehended and transferred to the city of Manta to be handed over to the competent authorities.

The Ecuadorian Navy, through the Coast Guard Command, participated in the capture of this vessel. This action was coordinated with the National Police and other international agencies.
