Music producer Andrey Razin told how the myth appeared that he was the nephew of the ex-president of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, writes Lenta.ru.
According to Razin, he knew the Gorbachev family since childhood, since his adoptive grandmother worked as a maid for the mother of the President of the USSR, Maria Panteleevna. At the same time, the myth of family ties arose after Gorbachev’s accession to the post of head of state.
As the producer said, when Gorbachev, having become general secretary, visited his mother in the village of Privolnoye, the persons accompanying him asked Maria Panteleevna who Razin was to her. “And she turned and said in the presence of my grandmother:“ This is our nephew. And that’s it. I didn’t say that,” Razin explained. According to him, this myth influenced the development of his musical career.
Razin also added that Gorbachev played a decisive role in the creation of the Tender May group. “Never in my life would anyone have transferred Yura Shatunov to Moscow, he was always on the run, on the wanted list. The ministers gave commands, ”said the producer.
