Kerly Briones, 21, and her three-month-old baby disappeared on the afternoon of Saturday, August 6, in the La Ladrillera sector, and this Monday, August 8, relatives handed out flyers with the faces of mother and daughter at various points in Guayaquil.
They are desperate, they have not heard from them. The young mother’s cell phone is turned off, she does not receive the messages sent to her.

Evelyn Mora, Kerly’s mother, said that she lives with the minor and her son-in-law in the Ciudad de Dios sector, northwest of Guayaquil.
She said that her daughter’s partner went to work that day and that hours later Kerly had gone out with the baby to go to La Ladrillera to buy a gift, because they had a children’s party.
They got on a bus on the 160-8 line, went shopping quickly and returned for Kerly to change her clothes.
”My daughter went out with a shortsa t-shirt and some slippers to walk around the house”, explained Mora, who mentioned that they were worried at 7:00 p.m. when the husband arrived and said that he had not seen them and that Kerly did not answer the phone either.
According to the family, a neighbor got on the same bus Kerly and her baby were on. He said that he would have seen the young mother sitting at the window with her baby on her lap.
Along with her was a woman with a thick build and blonde hair, the neighbor assured, adding that this woman had her arm around Kerly’s shoulder.
“The neighbor said that he greeted her, but that my daughter only looked at him and did not return the greeting. I am afraid that they have scopolated her to steal the baby, ”explained Mora.
The mother and grandmother of the disappeared assured that she has not been able to sleep since Saturday. She mentioned that she dreams that her daughter tells her that the baby has a fever and that she needs medicine.

She also indicated that she checked her daughter’s social networks and found nothing strange. She maintained that she got along well with the father of her baby, that before he went to work that Saturday he gave her the money so that she could go out and buy her gift.
Kerly’s parents, siblings and partner hope that the Missing Persons Unit checks security cameras and interviews bus drivers to find out if anyone recognizes mother and daughter. (YO)
