Hair oiling involves pouring the oil directly onto the hair and massaging it into it. It is about increasing the hydration, shine and overall health of your hair. The most frequently chosen care products include: coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, linseed oil and sunflower oil. Hair oiling is performed once or twice a week and is left on the hair to absorb overnight. Here’s how to do it:
- Apply about 1 tablespoon of oil to the scalp.
- Massage it with your fingertips in a circular motion.
- The hands should be really greasy.
- Collect all excess oil and rub it into the remaining strands.
- Wrap your hair with a towel or shower cap.
- Leave it on your hair all night.
- Shampoo them the next day.
- Rinse and condition your hair as usual.
