Eurovision 2022: Chanel’s powerful second essay that places her as a favorite for the international press

The Spanish representative in Eurovision, Chanel Terrero, drew three applause from the press center with each of the passes of her second rehearsal on the Turin stage, which is filled with lights and warm tones with the performance of Spain.

Chanel brings new choreography and various arrangements to the base of the song. Warm lights and bullfighter-inspired costumes are the characteristics of the ‘performance’, which includes a large red fan at the end.

Dressed in a design by the Cordovan Palomo Spain, a black jumpsuit and leather jacket with more than 50,000 Swarowsky crystals, Chanel is accompanied on stage by dancers Exon Arcos, Josh Huerta, Pol Soto, Raquel Caurín and María Pérez.

‘SloMo’ includes new arrangements that delve deeper into both the Spanish and Latin American traditions, making a nod to Chanel’s cultural references. A new production and mix of the song, respectful of the original version, that gains in strength and surprises with small details.

The staging prepared for the 2022 Eurovision final also preserves iconic elements of Chanel’s performance in Benidorm, such as the ‘dance break’, although with a new lighting that highlights even more the strength of the Spanish candidate on stage; and the stroboscopic effect of the chorus that represents the slow motion to which the song alludes.

The novelty of this performance has come in the final part, with the introduction of a choreography in the last chorus; a solo by Chanel with a progression of ascending notes in high pitch, which endorse the versatility and vocal qualities of the singer and dancer; cascade of fire and pyrotechnic elements and a very Spanish element: a fan in an instant of the performance.

During the three-minute performance of the May 14 performance, a total of 18 cameras of the 24 available in the show have been usedand more than 70 shots that highlight and focus on the talent, energy and magnetism of our Spanish representative at Eurovision.

After the second rehearsal, Chanel starred in a new press conference in which she was very satisfied with today’s result on stage: “We are very happy although we are not going to stop working and perfecting to make the best performance on May 14”.

The end of the press conference has experienced a very important moment: the draw for which half of the final will perform. Luck has decided that it is in the first half.
